To be honest I don't usually check for mens collections the same as women's but after watching a documentary on Oswald Boateng I became inspired to pay much more attention. This collection entitled Migration expresses an artful fusion where Western culture, British hunting attire and Japanese aesthetic come together in perfect harmony. Like a lost Samurai who's been forced to integrate into British colonial society but carries with him feelings of melancholy having no choice but to leave the love of his life behind. I can't take it. It's too good.

The tailoring of his garments are above and beyond to say the very least. The Boateng man is always dressed with impeccable style that looks effortlessly chic, modern and classic. Quite a feat to accomplish all three at the same time. He creates garments that, put simply can never go out of style. Being the master that he is, he's inter grated classic Japanese salvage denim into a contemporary (and I'd like to think universally) style of dress for the every ready fashion forward man. When asked his opinion on American menswear fashion, he replied 'American men dress like kids. Like children.' * *Sigh* Indeed they do Oswald. Indeed they do.

Few facts on Oswald The Great;

1. In 1994 he was the first tailor to present a collection on the Parisienne catwalk
2. He was the youngest and first black tailor to own a store on Savile Row
3. He was appointed Creative Director of French menswear fashion house Givenchy Summer 2004 to Spring 2007
4. He was mentored by the infamous Welch tailor Tommy Nutter who aided in the reinvention of Savile Row Suit in 1960's.
